| Welcome to the Society for Education & Welfare.
For 125 years SEW, the Society for Education & Welfare, has provided support to numerous unfortunates. We began in Odessa in 1880, where the Society was founded to care for orphans whose fathers had died in the Russo-Turkish war of 1877-8. From then until the present day our education and welfare programmes have given hope in many parts of the world.
This presentation celebrates a selection of our projects and our successes.
We show current projects as part of our developing activities.
And as part of the celebration of our 125 years, we proudly present works by Magda Novak, Yuri Salchenko and Olga Casasanta. All were once orphans in our care - in Russia and in Bulgaria.
SEW: mending lives for tomorrow.
